I Remember........

Nights when my DD Angela was small. I use to read her bedtime stories. Sing "this is the way we wash our arms) as I cleaned her in her bath. How I made heart shape toast and pancakes for her B'day on Valentine's Day........ How We would make fish faces for kissing lol. I miss those days and long to have them again. I guess I do when I think of those great times. Your kids grow up too fast.
Even at Christmas time taking her cat to make "paw prints" at the front door to make her think the reindeers had stop so Santa could deliver her presents.
Take time for those moments and make some memories. :)

WOW long time...... lots happened!

Well yes been a long time since I wrote. Sorry but.... a lot has happened since I last wrote.
My Husband has lost his job he held for 8 yrs. Also lost our health insurance, and we are loosing our home!
So we are moving ( for his sake and ours) into my FIL's house. So in order to do that we needed to redo a home that an elderly man has lived in for 10 yrs alone. We tore up all the carpets ( 7 rooms) all had hardwood floor under it. so cleaning and staining them. Al most done. Had to relocate some pipes for our washer and dryer and put a washroom upstairs. (2 storey house).
We are waiting to find out if we will receive unemployment. Finding places for my medication for little or no cost ( have 8 pills plus my insulin.)
So far no tree but after living room done at his Dad's we will be putting up the tree there.
Also been fixing the mess his Granddaughter has done by stealing over $6000.00 from his bank account, not including the thousand she borrowed or stole in cash and antiques in his house. It is in the hands of the police and prosecutor.
So yes has been a very busy month or so. So will try to keep this up as we fix up the 114 yr old house into our Home.

A little of everything !

Well! I spent the better part of this week Fall cleaning....re-arranging rooms and "winterizing" my home. Do you "winterize" your home? You know put away Summer look for a warmer Fall look? Like take out blankets ( throw blankets) for the furniture. Add more throw rugs?
Then get a call that my sister's Husband had emergency quadruple bypass surgery. So far he is doing good. It must be so hard on her....it is times like this I wish I was closer to her up in Canada. But she has all her children with her so feel somewhat better.
Soon our heating and electric bills will be higher as it gets colder and dark sooner. :(

I have my computer (for a few more weeks) in my craft room, have been cleaning it up some to make room for me to craft. Well I never realized how much stuff has accumulated. As I clean I noticed stuff like gifts I bought For last Christmas and lost lol or stuff I didn't realize I had and needed. Like all the sewing material and patterns that I have and yet I don't sew!!!!
I have way too much paint over 200 bottles of the stuff not including spray and cans of paint. Bells? a suitcase full.

Unbelievable or Pure Luck?

I can't wear watches (I kill them) lol. Really they die on me something about too much something in my system, which also affects rings I wear I get pain when I wear either one. So every so often i need to remove my rings. Well 2 yrs ago I put my ring set somewhere where I wouldn't loose them. Ha! I search the house looking into every cranny but to no avail did I find the rings. So now about 2 yrs later, Hubby and I decided to the large desk and rearrange the room. The desk is so heavy we needed to drag it. I thought I'd pick up some stuff we found under it before we pass the vacuum. I see a shiny object and low and behold my engagement ring, I let out such a yell Hubby thought I had hurt myself lol. So down on my hands and knees I pass my hand all over the carpet and 20 mins later I find my wedding ring.
So from now on when I need to remove my rings in the jewelery box it goes in.
So is it Unbelievable or Pure Luck?
BTW there is no damage to the set :)

The Pumpkin Farm.

Well we made our yearly visit to the Pumpkin Farm this weekend. Got 3 pumpkins nice ones. This farm has hay rides and stuff for kids every year. The bottom pic are extra large pumpkins. I love the bright orange one but :( these are not for sale. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Back to my work.
Btw due to unforeseen circumstances my contest will be delayed.

Yard Sale finds!

Only found a few things this weekend. This old mixer didn't have the mixer tools with it but will look around. Also found an old coffee pot no lid but.... lol the best thing I found was this pewter plate with the alphabets and numbers. Here is a close up of the plate.
Now I also was given this chest from a neighbour. It is cedar inside.
So all around it was a good weekend. Even moved furniture around lol.

And don't forget to get those snail letters out. Whoever comments that they sent them out will be put in a draw. Will be posting the prize in next few days. Hint a light.
